Troubleshoot a custom domain

Start by checking Domain status in Site Settings. The Nune URL is the safest login route until the status reaches SSL ready.

The domain is degraded or disconnected

Nune marks a previously connected domain Degraded only after two consecutive checks find that its www DNS no longer points to Nune. The owner receives warnings after 24 hours and seven days. After 30 days the connection becomes Disconnected, but the website and its Nune URL are not deleted.

Restore the www CNAME to customers.nune.uk. Nune checks DNS every 30 minutes and reconnects the domain automatically after two successful checks. The owner receives a recovery email when Cloudflare, SSL and the Nune route are ready again.

The domain shows another website

The DNS is still pointing elsewhere or an old forwarding rule remains. Check the required www record at the domain provider and compare it with the Nune instructions. Check the apex record separately if the bare domain should redirect to www.

The browser shows an SSL warning

Do not bypass the warning. Wait until Site Settings shows SSL ready. Cloudflare and Nune must both complete hostname, certificate and origin setup before the domain is ready.

The login page is wrong

While a domain is pending, degraded or disconnected, use nune.uk/your-slug/login. Once SSL is ready, www.your-domain.com/login should show the website's branded login.

An email address can sign in only when that person has access to the selected website.

Save the current domain and Nune slug in Site Settings. If a menu contains a manually typed full URL, update that menu item in the CMS.
