Change website Style Settings
How to customise the colours, fonts, spacing and appearance of web pages or elements.
Style Settings controls the shared appearance of your public website. It lets pages and components stay consistent without styling each one separately.
Change the site-wide design
How to update the main visual style used throughout the website.
- Open Settings > Style Settings.
- Use the live preview while adjusting the settings.
- Set the page, panel, accent, contrast, border, text and link colours.
- Set body text and individual heading fonts, sizes, weights and alignment.
- Configure the normal and hover appearance of buttons.
- Use Sale Labels to set the sale prefix, background and text colours, and pill shape used by shop cards and product pages.
- Select Save Style Settings, then check several public pages on desktop and mobile.
The accent and contrast sections each have their own text-and-elements colour. Use combinations with enough contrast to keep text and controls readable.
Install and choose fonts
How to preview a typeface, add a Google font or remove a font you no longer use.
Open Settings > Style Settings and select Browse Font Library. Search the approved Google collection, filter it by category or replace the preview sentence with your own text.
Select Install to add a font to this website's Style Settings choices. Installed fonts can be used for body text, headings, menus, buttons, cards, prices, banners and the homepage title. Select Remove when the site no longer needs one; any setting that still names the removed font safely returns to its theme default.
Nune hosts installed font files itself. Visitors do not need to download these installed fonts directly from Google. For a faster page, install only fonts the website actually uses and reserve decorative display or handwriting families for shorter headings.
Noto Sans and Noto Serif appear at the top of the Font Library. Their base pack supports Latin and extended Latin languages. Install additional Greek, Cyrillic, Vietnamese or other listed support only when the website needs it. Noto Sans is the default body font for newly created Nune websites; existing websites keep their current font choices.
Set shortcode defaults
How to make shortcodes use consistent spacing, alignment, surfaces and corners.
The Shortcode Defaults section controls shortcodes that do not specify their own value:
- outer margin, inner padding, section spacing and layout gaps;
- text and layout alignment;
- card, panel, feature and image-card surface style;
- component and media corner radius.
An explicit shortcode option overrides the default. Nested components normally inherit their surrounding surface so accent backgrounds are not unnecessarily repeated.
Choose content transitions
How to add movement when cards and images load, open or are hovered.
Open Settings > Default Content Layout, then find Cards and featured content > Transitions. Choose one optional entrance effect for cards and images as they enter the visible part of the page, and another for pointer hover. The entrance style is also reused as visitors open header menus, accordion items and tab panels. Items farther down wait until the visitor scrolls them into view, and each page entrance effect runs only once.
- Load: None, Fade in, Rise in or Soft zoom in.
- Hover: None, Zoom image, Lift card or Soften image.
Use subtle motion consistently rather than combining strong effects across every page. Nune automatically removes these transitions for visitors whose device has Reduce Motion enabled.
Reset or use custom CSS
How to restore theme styles or add an advanced design rule not covered by the settings.
Use theme default resets one setting group. Reset Style Settings restores colours, fonts and shortcode defaults for the active theme; it deliberately keeps the Custom CSS field.
The Custom CSS field is at the bottom of Settings > Style Settings. It is intended for advanced changes and can override normal settings. If a saved option appears ineffective, check Custom CSS before adding more rules. Keep ordinary colour, font, spacing and component choices in the supplied controls so they remain easier to update.
